Character: Fiammetta Nox
Variation: CRAU OC from Sphere/Vitaen, a crossover PSL involving King of Bandits Jing, Star Ocean and an old LJ RP called Econtra

About: Fia is the youngest child of Albel Nox (in an AU in which he didn’t lose his arm and actually succeeded in the Ascension of the Flame ceremony) and Cecilia Fermina, Count Woltar’s niece. Her parents wanted an easy, quiet life for her, even arranging for her eventual marriage to the heir of a prominent noble house, but the circumstances just wouldn’t permit it. She spent most of her childhood traveling with her mother, who was the captain of the Queen’s Guard; the experience (and the self-defense and archery lessons in between her classes) inspired her to become a soldier, especially because her older sister was to be their future queen.
When she was 13, however, a plague hit Airyglyph, and she was one of its victims. She miraculously survived, but the disease left her mute, both runologically and physically. Her mother brought her to Count Woltar’s manor in Kirlsa to recover, as the climate there was much kinder, and she dealt with her depression through combat training. Her mother and her friends in the Storm Brigade trained her, taught her sign language; she focused on riding, archery and close combat, and her mentors steered her towards the reconnaisance division, where her silence would be an asset.
When she was 15, Greeton invaded their kingdom, razing the capital and the cities within their invasion route (her sister, Nausicaa, was presumably killed during the attack). She fled with her parents and older brother, Marcus, seeking refuge with her parents’ friends in the neighboring kingdom of Aquaria. A year later, Marcus began the resistance movement against Greeton, forming the Exercitus Reginae, the elite army of the allied forces of Airyglyph, Aquaria and the Sanmite Republic. She joined the Exercitus Reginae (their youngest, at 16) and was reunited with her betrothed, Iohannes Boislevesque.
Two years later, the resistance continued to struggle in its quest to liberate the continent from Greeton’s tyranny, but were slowly being pushed towards the losing end. In a desperate gambit, their most powerful runologist, Merlot Traydor, revealed that she could use the Sacred Orb to “simulate possible outcomes” by sending people to the past and having them live through it, but without actually altering what’s already happened, to gather intel and find a way to win the war. Fia volunteered for the mission, but Marcus wouldn’t let her go — not until Merlot suggested that Nevelle Leingod, another member of the Exercitus, accompany her.
And so they went… but she arrived in a completely different place.
